Welcome to my Daily
Sketchbook. Updated every weekday, it primarily consists of
doodles I crank out during stolen moments at work. (Don't
tell my boss!) They are mostly drawn with pencil or pen on
paper, as opposed to my usual method of drawing on the
computer via Wacom tablet. Every now and then you may find
comic strip prototypes, early versions of characters, and
preliminary illustration ideas to be fleshed out later.
These are NOT polished or completed works by any means. |

| 10/01/08: Indeed
the mouse is flipping off the sad boy. Funny story about the
image of the guy with his mouth agape. I drew it on my
computer at work during my lunch hour. I replied to an email
from my wife and attached the pic as an afterthought... or
so I thought. It turns out I accidentally emailed the pic to
the leader of the new parents group my wife attends.
Big deal, right? Well, leave it to me to worry that I
somehow exposed myself as an unfit parent to a parenting
expert. Well, she replied to tell me she liked it. And they
didn't take my baby away. |

| 9/20/08: The
leftmost guy reminds me of
Bug-Eyed Earl. The guy on the lower-right started out
somewhat based on Phillip Seymour Hoffman. |

| 9/12/08: "Wiener"
is no longer acceptable. |
|
 |
 |
| 9/10/08: "Crispy"
refers to myself, of course. |
|
 |
 |
| 9/9/08:
"Worthy"... the new fragrance for bald men. If I had any
less of a grip over certain obsessive-compulsive tendencies,
I would draw nothing but the kind of parallel lines that
shade the clothes of the tie guy. |
